The Divine Comedy by Dante... 

Poetry recital, images and music are the main elements of this project.  The production is a visual and aural work that positions performers within video projections.  Images projected on a scrim/screen such as classical illustrations by Gustave Dore as well as contemporary scenes of today's society will establish an immediate, visual relationship between the medieval and the contemporary worlds.  An original score fusing classical, ambient and electronica music by Amary Groc.  The cantos will be recited in the original Italian language. Directed by Rene Migliaccio with Alessio Bordoni.

Black Moon Theatre Company is bringing Commedia to the Schools. Established during the 16th century in Italy, Commedia dell’Arte has become one of the greatest forms of mask theater and improvisational comedy, providing a powerful means of expression for actors on stages around the world.  In this hands-on and interactive program, students will explore creativity through masks, movements and gestures.

Phillis a Slave to Poetry...

Fall 2008... "Phillis, a slave to poetry", by Cheryl Davis dramatizes a day in the life of Phillis Wheatley, a Boston slave who became the first published Black poet in America.  Directed by Rene Migliaccio and produced by Rodrigo del Solar.
